Can I edit my story after it is published?
The only way to edit your story is when it is in draft mode. You can always write an alternate version to your work (only applicable to the second chapter and beyond, not the initial work).
Can I delete my story?
Contact us if this should be the case. Be aware that having your works published here improves your writing ability since you can receive feedback on them. You can also consider writing an alternate version of a chapter instead - you wouldn’t want to disappoint your fans!

What are fans?
Rather, who are your fans? They are the people who read your work and clicked “notify [me] when there’s new content.” In other words, they want to read more of your work! You’ve got a following!
Can I communicate/talk to others on this site? (What is the inbox? How do I use the email system? How can I check for messages?)
Yes! We have a messaging system implemented so that you can reach out to your fans or even other authors on Notefiction. Simply log in and click on “inbox” on the upper right hand corner of the site. Click “New Email,” then simply type your message and hit send!
Messages that other people have sent to you will appear in your inbox.
To see what you have written to others, click the drop-down box next to “filter:” and select outbox. Select the time frame you sent it in (select the dates next to the filter; it reads “from” and “to”) and hit submit. Your message archive should appear there.
To see what messages have been sent to you in the past, select the time frame (“from” and “to” next to the filter) and hit submit. Any messages sent to you during the selected time period will appear.
How do I update my profile? How do I add an image /picture next to my pen name? How do I change my avatar?
After you sign in, click “My Profile” on the upper right-hand corner of the site and then click “Edit Profile and Avatar.” The avatar is the image that will appear next to your pen name. Click “select” and choose an image from your computer (please note that the maximum file size is 100kb, size 44x44 and the file type must be a .gif, .jpg, or .png). You can fill out the text field with whatever you’d like to appear when users click on your pen name (feature only available on your published works).
To change your avatar, click the checkbox next to “Delete Current Image” and proceed to select a different image. After hitting the “submit” button underneath the text box for your profile, your avatar should change.
Why isn’t my avatar changing?
Please check if the file type is a .gif, .jpg, or .png. The image must not exceed 100kb / a 44x44 size.
How do I see the statistics on all of my published works? How do I view my feedback? How do I enable feedback? How do I enable or disable the feature that lets others add onto my work? How do I find out who my fans are? How do I add images to already published works?
After signing in, click on “My Profiile” at the upper right-hand corner of the site. Underneath your profile information, there should be three tabs: the first one lists your drafts, and the second one is where you can find all of the information you’re wondering about.
Click “add image” to do just that. Check or uncheck the boxes under the features you’d like to enable or disable for each of your works. Note: your adjustments should be updated automatically (i.e. you will not have to click an “update” button after you change your story/poem ‘settings’). To view your fans, click on the number next to “views.” To view any feedback you’ve received, click on the number next to the slash after the fan number.
What is the “Your Session is About to Time Out” message/warning/thing? How do I save a draft?
Close the message, and then check the box next to “I’ve read and agreed to the Terms of Use” and click “Insert.” By doing this, you can save your story. The message indicates that the server session has expired and needs you to save your progress, otherwise it will be lost. You may continue writing as long as you keep on saving your story as a draft whenever the message appears.
